What lead to my failure?

What I did wrong?

  1. Overconfident about myself and underestimated everyone else even some brilliant minds.
  2. Company of lazy or mediocre people.
  3. Seek pleasure in temporary happiness.
  4. Not trying to build a strong habit of hard work.
  5. Fantasizing about future and thinking of future plans.
  6. Didn’t had proper time management, strategy or someone better than me to guide me.
  7. To much facebook, songs.
  8. Never could control the habit of playing in evening.

What should I do now?

  1. Know and learn what you want to do.
  2. Create a clear strategy for what you want to do.
  3. Set goals to achieve your goals which includes daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals and yearly goals.
  4. WORK HARD to achieve them.
  5. Surround yourself with people better than you and sharing common interest.
  6. WORK HARD with them.
  7. Work hard to create a habit. (MOST IMPORTANT).
  8. You know what to do, try to listen to yourself instead of mind.
  9. WORK HARD with focus, determination.

What I want?

  3. FOCUS

The ability to DISCIPLINE yourself to delay gratification in the short term in order to enjoy greater rewards in long term is the indispensable prerequisite for the SUCCESS.


Use this anger, depression and feeling as a motivation for future whenever you divert.

My NIMCET 2017 rank had announced. I got AIR 126, not even close to my goal of AIR-1. Now instead of NIT Trichy, I’m not even getting NIT Surathkal which I thought to be below standard for me. Maybe I was too overconfident. No… Not maybe but definitely. I underestimated everyone and now all of them have been allotted NITK. What I am gonna do with MNNIT Allahabad?

Well, I can’t do anything now but just prepare to be better in the future.

One thing that history has told us is that no one learns from history.


Coaching starts from TOMORROW

Today is 20th June and from tomorrow start the new phase for my life. From tomorrow, I have to work hard and smart and I know it is not going to be walk in cake but I am both mentally and physically prepared for it.

When you think of quitting, think why you started.

When you are dreaming of success, someone is working hard to get it.

All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage and something good will come.

Your FUTURE is created by what you do TODAY not tomorrow.

Also I have started to good routine two weeks before to keep myself fit and healthy. Starting the routine early will provide enough time for my body to adapt to changes.

Here is how my day look like:

  • 5 AM : Wake up
  • 5:30 – 6:30 : Jogging , stretching , and meditation for at least  10 min
  • 6:00 – 7:00 : Breakfast.

And breakfast include soaked chane and 2-3 bananas. Since I am a morning guy, I prefer getting stuff done early in the morning. Also I can’t have large breakfast simply because I can’t afford it. I get Rs. 3000 per month which includes everything travelling or hangout with friends or anything else. Also I never ask for anything that I wanted. Also I want to save money for my 2nd installment for my coaching classes which is around 25k and I will get CBSE scholarship 10k, so I have to save Rs. 1500 every month for 10 months.

Appreciate what you have, someone wishes just a part of it.

  • 7:00-11:00 : 1st intense study study session.  {MATHEMATICS}

Our brain work best after 2 hours to 4 hours after we wake up. The time is best for complex activities. So I study maths during that session. The session compromised of 1 hour session 10 min break then 45 min session 10 min break then 4 25 min session with 5 min break between them. This way I can have intense session without overloading my brain.  During break, do any unrelated task like have snacks or walking or stretching or anything.

  • 11:00-12:00 : Lunch and some mind refreshing songs and TV.
  • 12:00-2:00 : 2nd intermediate study session. {REASONING AND COMP}

(1 hours session then break 10 min then 45 min session )

  • 2:00-3:00 : Free time + Power Nap
  • 3:00-3:30: Mind refreshing task

Anything you want. I am learning Harmonica or read something interesting or funny video on YouTube.

  • 3:30-5:30 : Last lenient study session. {REVISION OR UNFINISHED SUBJECT}

After this do whatever you want. Play, movie or hangout. But late hours are considered best for creative thinking. So you can cheer up your brain, plan your next day,week, or month.

  • 8:00-10:15 : Dinner, read newspaper, learn new words or read word power made easy.
  • 10:15-10:30 : Journal and plan your next day.
  • 11:00 : Go to bed.

This is how I planned my next year should be like. I know I am not going to stick to it. It is flexible and I will change according to the situations or difficulties.

But you should create your own schedule according to your own capacities and capabilities.

Start reading Moonwalking wih Einstein. It is really good book describing about memory palace to increase your memory.

Moreover , you should read other non-fiction books or self help books. I will update the blog if I read any new good book.

Also to improve my brain, I’ve installed some brain games, sodoku and play them each day.

That is all I’ve done to get started. And now I am wishing my self and you all the best for the upcoming year. I will try to update the blog every week with what I am doing, how I am feeling and my study notes and everything related to MCA. But I am not good at motivating, so that is the only thing you have to do it yourself. Also if I can, I will upload some tutorials on YouTube and post it on the blog.

Finally that is all, it took me 2 hours to write this whole thing. Hope this will help you and give a great boost to your preparation.

And some words for myself : At this point I am not at all nervous or tired or irritated but I know I am going to feel it way most of time in the next year. So here I am Swaraj of 20th June asking the reading Swaraj to remain calm and healthy no matter what is the situation or circumstances. Just work hard till you get it. No other excuse. No one is exception, if she/he can do it, you can. You’ve long way to go. Just remember how proud you will feel when you get the admission in the NIT Trichy, how your parents going to feel, your ambition for a programmer, your ambition for everything else you ever thought of in your life. SO please stay calm, stay focused and keep the hard work going.

First Day

Hello guys, Welcome back. First all the best to all the guys who are preparing for MCA or have just started or will in future.

As I told you I am gonna share everything with you guys for one whole year. Tips, strategy, shortcuts, everything.

So it’s 26th May 2016, I have not started going to coaching classes. But I am doing some preparation for the upcoming year. You and I both know it’s going to be hard year. It’s not an easy exam. So just hold your seat for just one year. Stop wasting your time in watching idiot box or chatting or going out with friend or whatever. Just try to save your valuable time for something worth your time.

Okay, so what I am doing is trying to focus, stay healthy and enhance my memory as much as possible. I have started running for a while in the morning just to keep myself full of energy and healthy throughout the day. Then I meditate for at least 10 minutes to focus myself. Also a healthy breakfast is most important. Include proteins, fibres and low carb foods in your diet. Learn about your body and shape it in one month left. Have a proper sleep each day. I prefer 11-5 because it is going well for now and sometimes 30 minutes nap in the afternoon just to refresh myself. Start reading newspaper, learning something new, memorizing new words or anything so that your brain don’t need to start from zero when your coaching starts. I mean if you start studying when you start your coaching, your brain definitely gonna take some time to get to that level of learning, so just keep your brain warm.

This year is going to be the hardest year but the fruit you will bear after the year will definitely be so sweet for not only you but your family also.

Next time I am going to tell you about my strategies, tips , how to prepare time table , choosing among different tasks. And next blog most likely to publish one night before I join my coaching where I will tell you everything related to it. My mindset, level of confidence, my status on each subjects everything you need to know about before you start your difficult year.

For now, I want you friends to do everything I said above and also try to prepare time table for upcoming year and keep on changing if it doesn’t seem perfect according to you.
